Benediction
He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.
Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted.
But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities, the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed.
Isaiah 53: 3 – 5 (NIV)
It is a joy to be able to share in worship and fellowship today with our Baptist friends in the Peterborough and Selwyn areas along with other visitors. Please join us in Webb Hall for light refreshments following the service.
A Supervised Nursery is available for young children. Ask an Usher for directions.
The Offering today will go to the Peterborough Pregnancy Support Services. Envelopes are in the pews and offering plates are located at the front and rear of the sanctuary.
We invite you to join us for worship on Easter Sunday at 10:30 a.m. as we celebrate our Lord’s resurrection! All are welcome.
“Nails were not enough to hold God-and-man nailed and fastened on the Cross, had not love held Him there.”
